At Rice Memorial High School, we recognize the vital role athletics play in enriching a Catholic, college-preparatory education. This commitment is central to the Knights' mission of helping every student-athlete reach their God-given potential. As a proud member of the Vermont Principals’ Association (VPA), we offer 23 varsity sports and 12 additional teams across three seasons. We understand that athletic experiences impart essential values such as hard work, commitment, leadership, discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness, all while fostering sportsmanship and academic excellence.
Rice Memorial boasts a tradition of strong athletic programs, where success is a natural goal.  Our mission as an athletic department is to provide every student with diverse opportunities for participation, encouraging involvement in multiple sports whenever possible. We aim to create a wholesome, well-rounded experience that contributes to lifelong character development. We expect our student-athletes, coaches, and parents to act responsibly, to celebrate victories with humility, to accept defeats graciously, and, above all, to serve as outstanding ambassadors for our school.
