Aldous is a 4th year medical student at the Larner College of Medicine. In high school he was a starting
right back for the Watchung Hills Regional High School boys’ soccer team that were Skyland Conference Champions, Somerset County Tournament Champions, and North Jersey State Tournament Finalists. While in high school he developed a passion for coaching, working as a volunteer coach for youth soccer teams ages 7-14. Coach Sam graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2018, earning a B.S. in biochemistry, continuing to play intramural soccer with UNC club soccer and former division one school players. In 2019, he started as a medical student at the University of Vermont Larner College of Medicine, where he created a class intramural team that won three successive intramural championships.
Coach Sam was fortunate enough to rekindle his love for coaching last year in his inaugural season with the Rice Memorial High School Green Knights as a volunteer assistant coach during his anesthesiology research year. His involvement sparked interest in continuing his coaching experiences after the high school season, and he was signed by Burlington Football Club as the head coach of the U16 Club Boys soccer team. Coming back for his second season, Coach Sam hopes to improve on last year's performance prior to his departure for his anesthesiology residency training.
