Bowling Camp


Who:
Students Grades 8-12

When:July 8 - July 12, 2019 (9:00 A.M.  - 11:00 A.M. daily)

Where: Spare Time, 215 Lower Mountain View Dr, Colchester, VT 05446

What:  Grab your friends and head to the lanes this summer!  Learn the basics of bowling or improve your current skills.  This week long camp will include group instruction, one-on-one coaching, individual games, team matchups and tournaments.   Registration fee includes two hours of instruction for 5 days, advice regarding equipment, rental shoes daily, snacks, prizes, and 3 games of laser tag on the last day of camp!

Exploring Vermont’s History

Who: Students currently in grades 7-9
When: July 15-19, 2019
Where: Sites around Vermont (pickup/dropoff at Rice each day)
What:
  • Students will travel around the state to visit some of Vermont’s most important and in-depth historic sites and museums. Themes include Vermont’s role in the American Revolution, Abenaki culture and history, the Underground Railroad, and state government. By the end of the fun, busy, and memorable week, students will have gained a valuable understanding of the rich history of our great state.
  • The schedule (subject to change) includes visits to the following sites:
Registration Fee: $500 (Includes transportation and all admission fees)

College Application Writing Workshop

Who: Rising Juniors and Seniors

When: Wednesday July 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st and Wednesday August 7th: 10:00-11:00am

Where: Rice Memorial High School

What:
  • Dissect the application writing prompts and choose the best one for you
  • Learn specific strategies to help construct an authentic essay
  • Showcase and highlight your uniqueness through writing
  • Write, draft, and revise your essay with the one-on-one guidance of the instructor
  • Tips and essay review from a former College Admissions Counselor
  • Learn how to strengthen your essays so it will stand out,as well as, common mistakes to avoid

Times: (June/July 1-3 PM) (August 12-2 PM *accounting for earlier sunset)

August(Preseason programming for kids getting ready for fall programs) 5, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14

The 2nd Game Day Half-Days Summer Camp (Ages 12+)
Times: 12:30 PM - 4 PM
Dates: (July 29, 30, 31, August 1, 2)
 
Program 3:
GRIND Little All-Stars (Ages 6-12) (would run right after older group sessions on same days)
Times: (June/July) 4 PM - 5:30 PM (may adjust to later for parents).
Dates:
June 3, 5, 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26
July 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17, 22, 24
